Rachel Nyasani

Rachel Nyasani is the MANAGING PARTNER at Nyasani Law. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from the University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate Diploma (Pgd.) from the Kenya School of Law. She is a licensed Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya. She specializes in matters of corporate structuring, investment advisory, intellectual property maintenance and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on the technology sector. Her intellectual property expertise has been benchmarked globally by garnering professional certification in Copyright Law from the Harvard Distance Learning Initiative and Intellectual Property Management from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Rachel is passionate about financial technology and has advised a number of companies within the Kenyan landscape on fundraising rounds, licensing requirements from the Central Bank of Kenya as well as data protection compliance. Equipped with a deep understanding of the Kenyan startup eco-system, she is keen to resolve legislative and regulatory hurdles encountered by tech startups, empowering them to operate efficiently and effectively.She is set to undertake her LLM in Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Seattle University of Law.
